"These past sixteen years dedicated to reviving Roger Vivier represent an exciting, exceptional experience. A tremendous adventure", commented Bruno Frisoni, who will present his final collection for Autumn/Winter 2019 during Paris Fashion Week on February 27, as announced by the luxury footwear brand in a release.

No information has been provided concerning the designer's next destination, other than the fact that he will be dedicating himself to a new project. Furthermore, no successor has been named as his replacement at Roger Vivier.

The 57-year-old Italian-born designer arrived in Paris to study fashion when he was still a youngster. At 20, he began his career at Jean-Louis Scherrer. After five years, he joined Lanvin, before moving to Christian Lacroix in 1989. Six years later, he decided to strike out on his own, working on multiple collaborations as a consultant and launching his own luxury footwear brand, Bruno Frisoni, in 1999, before finally stepping into the role of creative director at Roger Vivier.

The footwear brand, which has been experiencing solid growth over the last few years, reported a turnover of 179.3 million euros in 2017, a 7.8% increase compared to the previous year.
