International US apparel retailer Gap Inc. is celebrating Gay Pride Month with the “We Are One” t-shirt, donating a portion of sales revenues to the United Nations’ campaign to support LGBTQI communities around the world.

The white crewneck tee, which features the words “We Are One” printed in the gay pride flag’s rainbow colors, is on offer in men’s, women’s and kids’ sizes.

Along with the t-shirt, “We Are One” baseball caps and canvas tote bags are also available.

From May 29 to July 7, 2018, $5 from the sale of every t-shirt will be donated to the United Nations Free & Equal campaign, launched by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in July 2013 to promote LGBTQI rights around the globe.

The public information campaign reached 2.4 billion social media feeds in 2017 and has attracted support from a number of international political, community and religious leaders, as well as celebrities. It produces a wide range of materials including plain-language fact sheets and popular videos, some of which – including “The Welcome”, a Bollywood-themed clip – feature among the most viewed videos produced by the UN.

To date, UN Free & Equal campaigns and events have been organized in some 30 countries worldwide.

Gap’s support of UN Free & Equal this June is part of the brand’s ongoing partnership with the campaign. During 2017’s Gay Pride Month, Gap donated 30% of the net sales of its gay pride t-shirts to the organization. The brand also gave $2 from the sale of every pride-themed e-giftcard to Free & Equal, an initiative that will be repeated this June.

Gap’s “We Are One” tee, baseball cap and tote bag are now available on the retailer’s e-commerce website and in select stores in the US and Canada.
