House of Vans makes UK festival debut at Bestival

House of Vans, the shoe brand’s creative events platform, will make its UK debut festival appearance at Bestival this August on the Lulworth Estate in Dorset.

The brand activation at the music festival will see Vans host a  warehouse-style structure featuring a live music stage, bar, vintage photo booth and workshop space with screen printing hosted by British skate company Lovenskate.

There will be also hair braiding hosted by mobile pop-up hair salon Keash, skate film screenings and merchandise giveaways.

The appearance builds on Vans’ roots as a lifestyle brand, a reputation it has had since the early 1970’s when skateboarders started wearing its trainers for their sticky sole. This skateboarding culture has informed the brand’s styles and campaigns ever since, and paved the way for the opening of its House of Vans venues in Brooklyn, New York and Waterloo, London.

Rob da Bank, curator of Bestival, said: “We’re really excited that House of Vans will at Bestival for their first ever UK festival experience. Just like us innovation and creativity are at the heart of everything that they do, so you know their stage is going to be special. And with Sunday Best, DIY and House of Vans all in on the music action it’s going to be packed to the rafters all weekend long.”

The music festival will take place on 2-5 August at Lulworth Estate in Dorset.
