Nordstrom, Inc. has announced it will open two new Los Angeles area Nordstrom Local stores this fall in an effort to expand its impact in the city.

Each location will offer customers consultations with personal stylists, the ability to buy online and pick-up in-store, alterations, curbside pickup, returns of online purchases, Trunk Club services, refreshments and gift wrapping in partnership with Paper Source. The new stores will also offer dry cleaning services in partnership with a Los Angeles-area dry cleaner.

The approximately 1,200-square-foot Brentwood store will include multiple styling and alteration services, as well as a modern interior design featuring copper lighting pendants, curved furniture, white walls and wood accents.

The downtown Los Angeles store, which will open in a space measuring around 2,200 square feet, will provide on-site concierge and barber services in partnership with Baxter of California; shoe, handbag and luggage repair services in partnership with a local cobbler; as well as refreshments. This store's décor will feature open ceilings, exposed ducts, saturated colors, woven wall art and hand-crafted wooden accented furniture.

Both locations will be furnished by Anthropologie Home as part of a collaboration between the two companies.

"Los Angeles is one of our most highly-engaged markets, with roughly four million active customers," said Jamie Nordstrom, president of stores, in a release. "One of our goals with Nordstrom Local is to help provide them with a seamless and convenient experience."

The new locations are part of the company's Nordstrom Local market strategy to incorporate nearby services and infrastructure into its individual stores. They join the company's first Los Angeles Nordstrom Local, which opened on Melrose in October 2017.

The department store has also announced that it will be launching its new "Get It Fast" feature on Nordstrom.com and the company's mobile app, giving select Los Angeles customers a real-time view of inventory available no later than next day.

The new Brentwood Nordstrom Local store will open on September 28, while the new downtown Los Angeles location is slated to open on October 12.
