On 24th May, in parallel with the film festival, the designer's Cannes villa, 'La Jungle du Roi', will provide the backdrop for the label's men's and women's Resort collection shows, and for the presentation of the Alec Monopoly X Philipp Plein capsule collection. The latter blends the German designer's luxurious style with Monopoly's signature graffiti.

Philipp Plein, featuring the Philipp Plein, Plein Sport and Billionaire labels, is renowned for its lavish fashion week shows in Milan and, more recently, New York. Cannes will soon be added to the label's prestigious list of venues, hosting the first presentation of Philipp Plein's Resort collection. The event, which will be attended by 300 selected guests, marks the growing importance of pre-collections in the fashion label's commercial strategy.

"My villa in Cannes is a place of calm and inspiration," said the designer. "I love spending time here, where many of my best ideas were developed. I use the same approach I adopted in designing the villa for all my collections, and I'm delighted to share such as significant element in my life with other people, for the presentation of the Philipp Plein Resort collection 2018 and the launch of the capsule collection created together with my friend Alec Monopoly."
