The latest tenant to land in London’s Carnaby area is Happy Socks with landlord Shaftesbury saying the company will join its line-up with a store on Foubert’s Place, very close to tourist destination Carnaby Street.

The Happy Socks store will open this month at 8 Foubert’s Place, and will cover 337 sq ft while continuing to push the brand’s ethos to “spread happiness by turning an everyday essential into a colourful design piece.”

The store itself will be “a modern, white space, acting as [a] backdrop for showing off the Happy Socks’ signature vivid pops of colour and unique patterns.”

Visitors will be able to find seasonal collections, as well as collaborations, boxed gift sets and socks for kids, plus the brand’s new exclusive women’s range, Hysteria by Happy Socks.

Shaftesbury’s senior retail portfolio manager Addy Williams said the new store will be a good fit in the area that’s “famed for its vibrancy” as it’s “such a creative brand.”

Happy Socks regularly collaborates with creative, and diverse, designers and corporations (previously Wiz Khalifa, adidas Originals and David LaChapelle), and the company said it “will bring new exciting collaborations to the Carnaby store.”

The store will be a neighbour to London-born brands Skinnydip and Jack Wills, as well as Adidas Originals and Brandy Melville.

Happy Socks director Chris Stratos said the line-up of international brands already nearby is an important part of the area’s appeal as this attracts both “fashion forward locals as well as visiting tourists.”
