Nike, Inc. has released artist renderings and plans for a 3.2 million square foot expansion project for its world headquarters in Beaverton, OR.

In an official statement released with the renderings, CEO Mark Parker explained, “Every day at Nike we dream up new ways to inspire athletes to expand their potential. To do that, we relentlessly evolve how we inspire our own teams and design environments that foster chemistry and collaboration. Our expanding World Headquarters reflects the best of Nike's culture — a place where we obsess the athlete and invent future products and experiences for consumers everywhere.”

The renderings were produced in collaboration with three northwest-based design firms: ZGF Architects, SRG Partnership and Skylab Architecture. Place Studio, of Portland, is the landscape architect.

The expansion has a targeted completion date of 2018 and will add 3.2 million square feet of much needed office, parking and mixed use space to Nike’s campus.

Nike News reports, “With every expansion, Nike fuels the collaborative spirit inherent and essential to sport, innovation and, thus, the company's growth, while simultaneously respecting its surroundings.”
