At the next edition of the Playtime Paris trade show, scheduled from 24th to 26th January at Paris' Parc Floral, childrenswear brand Velveteen will present its first women's line, called Laura Egloff by Velveteen. The new line follows the design codes of the line dedicated to younger customers.

Velveteen was founded three years ago by Laura Egloff, a Hong Kong-based Californian entrepreneur. When creating its collections, Velveteen works with fair trade organisations, and targets girls from 3 months to 14 years old, also offering a few models for boys aged 6 months to 10 years.

The fashion label's Spring-Summer 2016 collection will be available in about one hundred stores in 17 countries, eight of which in Europe: France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, the UK, the Netherlands and Germany.

To boost its expansion, from last April Velveteen has retained the services of Cathy Kévorkian, who worked for fifteen years at the Zannier group as Director of Sales and Operations for Lili Gaufrette. Now Sales Director for Velveteen, Cathy Kévorkian stated, "I was able to offer my experience and expertise for the promotion of Velveteen, contributing to the opening of 18 new retail outlets in Europe and increasing the volume of global sales by 28%, also by participating in childrenswear trade shows."
